I’ve been absolutely loving the last hot days of the season and have been really enjoying chilled meals and snacks. Smoothie bowls (with an added Bounce ball or bar on top) have always been my go-to for these hot days, but I recently decided to get a little creative in the kitchen! I wanted to design a recipe that was vegan and healthy that would feel just as indulgent as a café-bought frappe and I was inspired by the @bounce_aus Vanilla Nut Butter Bars to create a Vegan Vanilla Frappe!
This recipe calls on frozen bananas to get that delicious creamy consistency and to sweeten the drink naturally, however I do include a cheeky dollop of ice-cream in the recipe too! If you prefer, you could always substitute out the ice cream for another half of a frozen banana. I hope you love as much as I do!
Vegan Vanilla Frappe (serves 1)
- 2/3 cup ice cubes
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- ½ tsp vanilla bean extract
- ¼ cup vegan vanilla ice-cream
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
- Blitz all ingredients in a high-powered blender.
- Serve and enjoy! That easy!
